Hey all.... Whew!! What a busy week - - our time in Alingsas has been fantastic!!! The people are SO nice and enjoy teaching us about their community as well as answering all of our questions and teaching us more Swedish.
Yesterday, we were able to visit Flexoprint - a gift paper printing company. We saw their operations and we offered gift paper to bring home... I have two rolls and a catalog to bring home. (I thought I could use the pages from the catalog to make greeting cards) Then we went out to visit a farm -- they are trying to become a tourist attraction with their animals, their windmill and offering coffee with treats. The wind mill was built in 1811.
In the evenings, Jennifer and I have been staying with an elderly gentleman named Gunther. He speaks very little English which makes it difficult for us to carry on much of a conversation with him but we are mutually enjoying each others company. Before bed each night, he has offered us a small glass of Chivas Regal (don't worry.... I don't think I'll get use to it anytime soon!)
Got to run... more later!
On Friday
